Hyderabad: Hon’ble Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday launched the “Stand With Her” campaign, a statewide initiative aimed at encouraging men to support women’s dignity, safety, and equality.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister urged youth to act as brand ambassadors for women’s protection. He emphasized that ensuring women’s safety cannot be the responsibility of the government and police alone, but must become a collective social responsibility of society.
The CM also expressed concern about the rising cyber crimes against women, calling on citizens to remain vigilant and actively support women against discrimination, harassment, and online abuse.
Key Women Empowerment Initiatives in Telangana
Highlighting the government’s focus on empowering women, the Chief Minister said several initiatives have already been introduced, including:
Indiramma Houses registered in women’s names
Ration cards issued in women’s names
Financial support for Self-Help Groups (SHGs)
Free RTC bus travel for women
Women-owned RTC buses and petrol pumps
Encouraging women to excel in education, employment, and entrepreneurship
The “Stand With Her” campaign aims to create a societal movement where men actively support women’s rights and contribute to building a safe and respectful environment for women across Telangana.
