Agriculture, Marketing, Cooperation, Handlooms & Textiles Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao reviewed the arrangements for the inauguration of the Narmetta Oil Palm Processing Unit in Nangunuru mandal.
The unit will be officially inaugurated by Revanth Reddy on March 22.
Key Highlights
✅ Constructed by Telangana Oil Federation Limited
✅ Estimated project cost: ₹300 Crore
✅ Initial processing capacity: 30 TPH (Tonnes Per Hour)
✅ Expandable capacity: 120 TPH
This modern facility will significantly strengthen processing infrastructure and market support for oil palm farmers across Telangana.
🌾 Rythu Mela (March 20–22)
A three-day Rythu Mela will also be organized alongside the inauguration to:
Showcase modern agriculture technologies
Promote oil palm cultivation
Explain government schemes and farmer benefits
This initiative is expected to boost oil palm farming, increase farmers’ income, and support Telangana’s agricultural growth.
