Telangana Govt to Construct Permanent Buildings for Tahsildar, RDO Offices
The Telangana Government has decided to construct permanent buildings for Tahsildar and RDO offices across the State to ensure dignified and citizen-friendly services, Revenue, Housing and I&PR Minister Sri Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said on Wednesday.
Reviewing the issue with senior Revenue Department officials at his office in the Secretariat, the Minister said that in the first phase, 60 Tahsildar offices and 5 RDO offices currently functioning in rented buildings will be provided with modern permanent structures. In the second phase, 170 Tahsildar and RDO offices in dilapidated condition will be reconstructed.
All buildings will be developed in a uniform design across the State, with final approval to be taken in consultation with Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Anumula Revanth Reddy. The Minister reiterated that the Government is committed to strengthening the Revenue system and improving infrastructure for better public service delivery.
He further informed that, separately, under the Stamps & Registration Department, construction of integrated buildings is already underway for 30 Sub-Registrar offices grouped into 12 clusters, with foundation works completed in select locations.
