Ramzan 2026: Telangana Govt Permits Early Leave for Muslim Employees
The Government of Telangana, through Memo No. 677/Poll.B/26 dated 17-02-2026, has granted permission for all Muslim employees working in Government Departments to leave their offices at 4:00 PM during the holy month of Ramzan.
As per the official memo, the relaxation applies to:
Government Employees
Teachers
Contract Employees
Outsourcing Staff
Employees of Boards & Corporations
Public Sector Employees
This special permission has been granted to facilitate Muslim employees in observing the holy month of Ramzan, enabling them to prepare for Iftar and perform religious duties.
The Government has directed all Heads of Departments and concerned authorities to implement the orders strictly during the Ramzan period.
The decision has been welcomed by employees across the State.
