Police ke mutabiq, Azharuddin ne apni biwi Farhat aur betiyan — 8 saal ki Umera aur 6 saal ki Ayesha — ko swimming pool mein dhakka de diya, jab use pata chala ki paida hone wala bachcha bhi ladki hai.
A woman and her two children were found dead in a swimming pool at a private layout on the outskirts of Punnole village in Hanamkonda district on Thursday morning.
The deceased woman’s father, Sk Ali, alleged that his son-in-law, Md Azharuddin, murdered his wife and two children by throwing them into the pool and attempted to pass it off as an accident.
The victims were identified as Farhana (26) and her daughters, Umera (9) and Ayesha (5), residents of Punnole village.
According to Sk Ali, Farhana was five months pregnant and her husband suspected that the unborn child was also a girl.
Sk Ali alleged that Farhana had earlier undergone two abortions and had been subjected to continued harassment.
On Wednesday night, Azharuddin allegedly took Farhana and the two children to his land in a private layout on the village outskirts, where he celebrated one of the children’s birthdays and had dinner with them.
There is a swimming pool on the property. Sk Ali alleged that Azharuddin killed his wife and daughters there and later tried to portray the deaths as accidental drowning, informing family members on Thursday morning.
Family members who rushed to the spot found the three bodies in the pool.
Parwathagiri police said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
Police teams are searching for the accused.
