Shri V.C. Sajjanar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City and Chairman of the Hyderabad City Security Council (HCSC), officially launched Margadarshak, a community-driven program aimed at strengthening support systems for women, children, and other vulnerable individuals and connecting those in distress with formal institutional support.
This initiative addresses a critical gap where many individuals facing harassment, domestic conflicts, workplace pressure, stalking, or other distress hesitate to approach authorities due to fear, stigma, or lack of awareness.
Margadarshak introduces a structured guidance mechanism to help individuals access timely support and appropriate institutional assistance before situations escalate.
The launch event was attended by Shri Shekar Reddy, Secretary General, HCSC; Dr. Lavanya NJP, DCP, Women Safety Wing, Hyderabad City Police and Convenor, Women's Forum, HCSC; Smt. Khyati Naravane, Joint Secretary, Women's Forum, HCSC, along with other dignitaries and volunteers.
