Google, in collaboration with SERI, hosted an industry event in Hyderabad to accelerate electronics repair skilling under the Mobile Repair Accelerator Program launched with the Government of Telangana. The event celebrated the first 41 graduates, with 71% of trainees already placed and some starting their own repair businesses.
The initiative aims to train 100 youth as junior mobile repair technicians, strengthening India’s repair ecosystem, Right-to-Repair movement, and sustainable electronics practices, while creating new employment and entrepreneurship opportunities.
